Selected for "Support Program for Improving Graduate School Education" by Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology
"Society Building by participation-and-cooperation-based Graduate School Education" was selected for the "Support Program for Improving Graduate School Education" by Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology. This year, 66 projects have been selected from 273 applications submitted by national, public and private universities and other institutions in Japan.

- "Fostering talents with plenty of ability to think and act" is one of Kansai University's educational objectives as announced in its long term vision. The ability means those to act proactively and work unflinchingly on tasks with deep academic understanding. The major of Socio-Information studies, the graduate school of Informatics, Kansai University understands it as the "ability to build the society by the means of information", in other words, the "ability to settle problems, in cooperation with all kinds of real-world organization, with backgrounds of abundant knowledge on information-based society and advanced information literacy." This project aims to establish a new educational program to develop such human resources by taking full advantage of our academic environment where every student has the opportunity to be trained by faculty across disciplines.
