Selected for “FY2009 Program for Promoting University Education and Student Support” by the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology
“Support on Fostering the Ability of Career Choice Unaffected by Economic Slowdown”, which Kansai University had applied, was selected for the “FY2009 Program for Promoting University Education and Student Support (Theme B) Student Support Good Practice” by the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology (MEXT).

- Kansai University aims to cultivate a view of a career and work in each student as well as foster students to be independent individuals, who can think and act in order to achieve their own objectives. To this end, it provides various programs from the first year for students to gradually have a vision in career choice. Those programs include introduction of career education in each faculty in the first year, career education in curriculums, various internships and support programs for job-hunting.
With the program newly accepted by MEXT, the university plans to help students attain ability to choose their career options and occupations regardless of economic ups and downs. For students in the job hunt, it provides close support, mainly career counseling, while holding seminars on campus with the participation of more than 1,000 companies annually and meetings with alumni representing a diversity of careers. Kansai University intends to promote dynamic support programs in a visible manner to inspire students during the current severe employment situation.
