Graduate School of Societal Safety Sciences

  The Graduate School of Societal Safety Sciences Masters Course was established in April of 2010. To complement this, a doctoral course was created from 2012 to provide a continuum of education for the first group of graduates from the master's course. Experiencing integrated studies in disaster prevention and reduction, graduates from the program will be qualified to work at the frontline in the business of making society safer and more secure for the future. In order to respond to this huge task, the Graduate School of Societal Safety Sciences will analyze disaster prevention and reduction from the perspectives of numerous academic disciplines including law, political science, economics and management, sociology, psychology, science, informatics, engineering, and social medicine. Our objective is to move ahead with highly developed education and research through procuring and systemizing all aspects of safety knowledge.
