Grants-in-Aid

Private University Research Branding Project

 Under the leadership of the President, this project of the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology is intended to support private universities engaged in high-priority research aimed at drawing on what makes them unique.

Global COE Program

 This program was implemented until March of 2012 after receiving focused support from the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology aimed at establishing internationally outstanding research institutes starting in fiscal 2007.

 In April of 2012, the Institute for Cultural Interaction Studies was established in the Institute of Oriental and Occidental Studies as a successor organization to inherit and develop the results of the Global COE Program, and the Institute conducts international research activities related to cultural interaction studies.
