New Year's Greetings
Happy New Year.
We would like to express our sincere gratitude for your contribution to the various activities of Kansai University during the past year. We look forward to working with you this year to further enhance the quality of education and research at Kansai University.
Kansai University has a strong tradition of university quality, where people with different philosophies and values come together and individual values are respected. The excellent research conducted by the diverse 13 faculties and 15 graduate schools, the highly specialized education that makes use of the results of this research, and the practical contributions to society are the driving force behind the university's development. Once again, I feel that this diversity is the source of Kansai University's strength today.
This diversity can also be said of our students. We have students from all over the country, international students from many different cultures, and working people who come to the University to study in depth. Kansai University is a place where these diverse students meet and stimulate each other, creating invaluable experiences for them. In the future, we will continue to promote initiatives to further enhance this student diversity.
Specifically, we are promoting the acceptance of international students through the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology's "Multicultural Campus Project Toward Social Impact" and building a system to support working people in re-learning. In addition, we are keenly aware of the importance of increasing the number of students enrolled from outside the Kansai region.
Although the attractiveness of Kansai University is well known within the Kansai region, we feel that it has not been sufficiently communicated to people outside the Kansai region. This year, we will focus our efforts on effectively communicating the University's attractiveness to applicants outside the Kansai region, especially those who are not yet interested in the University.
We would be grateful for your advice and support as we continue to increase the diversity of the University's student body.
Finally, I would like to wish you all a happy and healthy New Year.
