Takatsuki Muse Campus
Only a short walk from Takatsuki Station, this is an urban campus that contributes to society through supporting the development of a safe and secure living environment.
This campus was established in April 2010, on an ideal location near JR Takatsuki Station, almost exactly half way between Osaka and Kyoto. It features a unique unified school program, containing the university’s elementary, junior high, and high schools, as well as the Faculty and Graduate School of Societal Safety Sciences, which is the first of its kind in Japan. Furthermore, for the purpose of supporting Takatsuki City’s efforts to develop a safe and secure living environment, the campus facilities are equipped with disaster prevention functions, which can serve as an emergency shelter in case of disasters. It also aims at becoming a hub for lifelong learning, or an “urban campus for social contribution,” so included in the facilities are a kids’ library and a lifelong learning center.
