Graduate School of Business and Commerce

TAS program

The Tax and Accounting Strategy Program (TAS Program) is designed for those seeking to become professionals of tax accountants.
As tax is a cost of business and influences corporate decision-making, business management requires a strategic perspective on taxation and accounting for the future. The program aims to train Certified Public Tax Accountants (Zeirishi), and highly qualified professionals who work in the tax and finance department of a company. The students in this program will acquire a high-level expertise and application skills that will enable them to perform tax and accounting services properly.

The TAS Program has three features below:

1. Multidisciplinary study

The TAS Program provides special knowledge of taxation from a legal and economic perspective as well as from an accounting perspective.

2. Theory and practice

In addition to academic subjects, the TAS Program prepares practitioner subjects which are taught by Zeirishi and CPAs. Business internships at tax accounting firms will be offered. The program students will acquire practical business sense through them.

3. Support for qualification as Zeirishi

The TAS Program provides a special curriculum designed to support exemption from the subjects of the Zeirishi Examination. ( As the National Tax Council decides whether to grant the exemptions, obtaining a Master's Degree does not necessarily mean that exemptions will be granted.)

We expect to see our graduates use their tax and accounting skills on this program in the business world.
