Global Career Mind Program : Day 9 Activities

On Day 9 of the Global Career Mind program, the KU students welcomed a series of guest lecturers from different backgrounds working in global business ventures.

The first guest speaker, Ayu Ginanti, previously worked as a Google Cloud Territory Manager for Australia, and is currently working at Intel as an Enterprise Account Executive. In her presentation, Ayu spoke to the students about the highs and lows of working for large global companies and entertained questions about managing stress in high pressure, high profile jobs, gave advice on recruiting talent, and shared her experiences working for Google and Intel.

The second guest speaker, Koki Araga, is a Kansai University alumnus studying for his Master's degree overseas in Germany. Koki shared with the students his reasoning for studying and working abroad and the goals for his future career trajectory, providing them with advice tailored to Kansai University graduates.

In the final session of the day, Anna Maria Maurieta, Head of Google Play Retail & Payments Activation SEA/AUNZ at Google, shared her experience working as a global citizen in four countries (Singapore, Indonesia, the U.S., and Japan), and gave the students tips on navigating a successful career in a global company and adapting to different work cultures.

The GCM program will continue with another COIL session between KU and Otterbein University tomorrow, in which students will give a presentation on a chosen cultural event to their overseas peers.
