Global Career Mind Program 2nd VE/COIL with Otterbein University

In the second COIL session between the Kansai University Global Career Mind program and Otterbein University, students shared interesting and important facets of their cultures by presenting cultural artifacts from their home countries.

In one group, an Otterbein University student presented a sentimental doll from her Quincenera and explained its significance in both Japanese and English for her peers.

A Kansai University student gave an informative presentation on Japanese charms (omamori) and the role they play in Japanese life. She also shared about her family pet, a micro pig, much to the surprise and delight of her classmates.

In the next COIL session, the students will come together to share their cultural insights and the ways they personally celebrate holidays in their home countries: Christmas, New Years, Valentine's Day, Halloween, and Obon.
