Is there a membership fee?

Currently there is NO membership fee.

Currently, JPN-COIL Association activities are funded by a government grant provided by MEXT as part of the "2019 Support for Educational Reform strategy, the Inter-University Exchange Project," which aims to build and operate an interactive exchange program that utilizes the Next Generation Collaborative Online International Learning (COIL) method to mutually improve education techniques and diversify businesses by contributing to the career development of individuals who will become a bridge to the world. Therefore, there is currently no membership fee. However, after financial support for the

project ends (April 2023 onwards), a membership fee may be charged to cover the cost of the Association's activities.

What are the benefits of joining?

①Exchange information on educational practices through COIL and other means
In the initial stage of COIL implementation, there may be concerns about not only the educational content, but also various aspects such as infrastructure and necessary equipment. Members can consult with IIGE about recommended equipment, recommended ICT tools, etc.

②Various exchange and training projects through COIL
You will be given priority to receive information on various seminars, workshops, and online international education programs for students aimed at educators who currently or are planning to implement COIL. Some seminars and workshops are offered only to Association member institutions. In addition to the above, various events are currently in the works, such as a pre-COIL consultation session. Privileges may vary depending on the type of membership. Please refer to the table below for details.

③Request for dispatch of lecturers for COIL-related seminars and symposiums
You can request IIGE to dispatch lecturers for COIL-related seminars and symposiums organized by your organization.
