The Global Career Mind program students warmed up in the reflection period at the start of Day 4 with a recap of the guest speaker's lectures from Day 3 and completed a brief writing assignment on Canvas to preview the theme of the day: "Technologies that are Changing the World."

 

DESCRIPTION FROM THE UCB PROGRAM CATALOGUE
Take a look back at the historical evolution of technology and how simple ideas changed the world and then pivot to the current state-of-the-art and how our digital lifestyle is facing an uncertain future. Looking ahead, participants will consider where digital technology is heading and will have the opportunity to create new product ideas by applying new breakthroughs to rapidly growing product sectors.

 

In the second session of the day, the students took part in a workshop on the Softbank Vision Fund, researching companies and discussing their findings first in small groups and then together as a whole. Subsequently, the students worked in small teams to create product "posters" on the Canvas whiteboard working within a technology sector to pose a solution to a market problem. They will present their posters in the next session.
