“Spatiotemporal data analysis in environmental processes”
講演概要
The quantity of space-time environmental data has been rapidly increasing, due to the availability of observations from a variety of monitoring network and satellites. It is important for researchers and government agencies to obtain the key information from these huge quantity of data to perform the essential estimation and prediction. Space-time analysis methods have been widely used for these purposes. In this talk, the space-time data analysis approaches from the three aspects will be discussed, including space-time feature extraction, space-time estimation, and space-time relationship analysis. These approaches will be introduced by the three case studies in Taiwan, i.e., groundwater pattern recognition in Choshui river aquifer, retrospective space-time PM2.5 prediction in Taipei, and Asian dust storm impact on children’s respiratory diseases in Taipei.
