学校じまん "I’m proud of my school” Project(5−2)前編

5年2組

There are many events at Kansai University Elementary.

We will introduce some of the events chosen by our students.

The first is the Overnight Study Trip. The good thing about these trips is that having them from the first grade creates a sense of independence and cooperation. The 6th graders can go abroad and stay with a homestay family. We can learn different English skills by staying with them. Moreover, we can experience foreign cultures that are different from Japan.

The second are exchanges with junior high school students. By interacting with junior high school students, we can come into contact with people we would not normally talk to.In particular, at Kansai University Elementary School, students in the third and fourth grades compete in Hyakunin-Isshu against junior high school students. During these games, the students compete seriously together with the junior high school students. We have fun memorizing for Hyakunin-Isshu and other poems.

In this way, Kansai University Elementary School has events that other schools do not have.

【Playground】

Our ground is made of artificial grass. There is a big Kandai mark at the center of the ground. We play a lot of games there. For example we can play tag, ride unicycles, and walk on stilts. Everybody can play.We like the playground because we can play with our friends!

For example, bibimbap, suiton, udon dumplings, spring rolls, etc.

For lunch the students serve school lunch to other students in the class.
