英語Ⅰab (Listening & Speaking)

講義概要	指定のトピックに関するまとまった英文を［必要に応じてノートを取りながら］聞き (Listening)、その内容について口頭で要約したり議論したりする (Speaking)。1年次配当の英語Ⅰabでは、易しめの素材を使い、必要に応じてテクストの音読やシャドーイング練習を行って基礎的かつ自然な英語音声の聞き取り・発音能力を養うことに力点を置く。このような活動を通じて、日常およびアカデミックな状況に対応できる口頭でのコミュニケーション中心の英語運用能力の基礎を養成する。
到達目標	一般的な内容の話し言葉はとくに大きな支障なくほぼ理解することができ、簡単な文や単語を使って自分の意思を口頭で表現することができる。

英語Ⅴab (検定試験対策1,2)

講義概要	上級者用TOEIC対策コース。TOEICに特化した授業を行うことで、より高いスコア取得を目指すとともに、高度な英語運用能力を養成する。春学期と秋学期では異なる目標レベルを設定する。（共通の目安として、少なくともTOEIC 670 以上のスコアの取得を目指すが、具体的な得点目標は原則として履修者が各自のレベルに応じて設定するものとする）。
到達目標	（1）自ら設定した目標の達成に向けて現実的な学習計画を立て、これを着実に実行することができる。（2）履修開始時と比べてより高いTOEICスコアを取得することができる。

英語Ⅴab (Integrated Skills for Communication1,2)

講義概要	In small groups, students engage in in-class mini research projects, prepare PPT (or poster) presentations, and present them to the entire class. The audience is required to take notes of each presentation and ask questions in a subsequent Q&A session. Four weeks will normally be allocated to complete one project (i.e., 1st week for in-class research, 2nd & 3rd weeks for PPT/poster preparation,and 4th week for presentation and class discussion). The class is conducted entirely in English, although the use of students' L1 is not necessarily forbidden as long as it contributes to the achievement of course objectives.

到達目標	Students can participate in in-class communicative activities conducted in English in the area of their specialization more actively and with confidence than they were able to before taking this class.
