IIGE プロフェッショナル・ディベロップメント・シリーズ 2022「Building Global Resilience with I.D.E.A.(Inclusion, Diversity, Equity and Access)」 の第4回セッションとして、「Advancing Diversity, Equity & Inclusion in Higher Education through International Education(国際的教育で促進する高等教育における多様性・平等・包括性)」が10月12日（日本時間）に開催されました。

 

本セッションでは、国際教育機関からパネリストが参加しました。NAFSAのLaNitra Berger氏、Diversity AbroadのAndrew Gordon氏、Temple University Japanの林哲平氏が登壇し、高等教育機関の取り組みと上記の著名な2団体(NAFSA and Diversity Abroad)を紹介し、より多様な学生がこの魅力的な学習機会から学びを得ることができるには、どのように促したり、壁となるものを取り除いたりするのか、そして実際にどう政策やプロセスに反映させていくのか、について議論しました。

 

発表者はまた、不平等やアクセス不足に対処するための国際教育分野の欠点に焦点を当て、アクセスを拡大し、国際教育と高等教育における多様性、公平性、包括性の取り組みの交差点を特定するためのベストプラクティスやこの分野の進化に焦点を当てました。
