Engaged in research and development of electronic materials for the next generation

In the research and development department for electronic materials, I am responsible for a wide range of tasks from resin design to manufacturing process optimization and customer support. In recent years, I have also traveled to overseas customers to participate in prototyping and discussions. As this is a new business, there are many difficult challenges, but I feel rewarded to be in charge of part of the electronic materials that will lead the next era. I was attracted to being able to utilize the specialized knowledge cultivated at university and the business content that emphasizes communication, so I aspired to a research and development position. In the future, based on my research and development experience so far, I would like to challenge work that serves as a bridge with customers such as technical sales. Furthermore, I have volunteered for overseas assignments and aim to play an active role on a broader stage.

Department learning that lives in current work

The knowledge of polymers gained at university is very useful in work such as resin design. Additionally, the logical thinking ability cultivated through research activities in graduate school is helpful when objectively interpreting at work.

Contributing to people's health through research and development of diagnostic reagents

Through the fusion of diagnostic reagent development technology and latex technology based on microparticle technology, I am working on the research and development of new latex diagnostic reagents compatible with a wide range of diagnostic markers including biochemistry, immunology, and diabetes. By providing early disease detection/prevention and appropriate treatment methods through accurate testing, we are contributing to the realization of a healthy and sustainable society. Before joining the company, through my experience in various fields of research, I became interested in health, medicine, and pharmaceuticals with great fulfillment. I wanted to be active as a researcher protecting people's health, and I decided to work at Sekisui Medical, which can contribute widely not only to sick people but also to the health of healthy people. My goal in the future is to continue to be involved in product development that society demands and to contribute widely to people's health with my own hands.

Department learning that lives in current work

Since I am working on product development that integrates knowledge of chemistry, physics, and biology learned while in school, having studied many fields is a great advantage.
