Philippine Delegation Visits Kansai University for Educational Exchange

A delegation of eight representatives from Philippine higher education institutions and educational organizations, including Davao Doctors College, Holy Child Central Colleges, and Quipper Philippines, recently visited Kansai University for an educational exchange. The group met with Ikeda Keiko, Vice-Director of the Institute for Innovative Global Education (IIGE).

During the meeting, Professor Ikeda introduced Kansai University's COIL (Collaborative Online International Learning) initiatives and other innovative programs designed to enhance global learning. A key highlight of the visit was a live demonstration of the university’s Global Smart Classroom (GSC), a cutting-edge multimedia space used to connect campuses worldwide and conduct remote classes with an immersive, face-to-face-like experience. The delegation observed the GSC in action as it connected with students currently participating in a blended mobility program in Hawaii

This visit underlines the growing collaboration between the Philippines and Japan in innovative educational practices, emphasizing the use of advanced technology to bridge global learning experiences.
