Synthetic Population
RISS Social Simulation Unit (SSU) provides synthetic populations of Japan based on Japanese Population Census. "Synthetic populations of Japan” is the virtual household composition data in the real scale synthesized from census results by prefecture, by city-town-village, and by small areas that are publicly released. The RISS SSU synthesizes the "Synthetic populations of Japan” using computation resources provided by (JHPCN), and releases them to research communities. "Synthetic populations of Japan” are employed in Covid-19 AI and Simulation project by Cabinet Secretariat of Japan, Cross-ministerial Strategic Innovation Promotion Program by Cabinet Office of Japan, and Mirai Program by Japan Science and Technology Agency.
