COIL BEVI Seminar
Kansai University IIGE hosted a COILxBEVI seminar at Senriyama Campus on Tuesday, October 8, 2019. The seminar, facilitated by Kansai University Professor and IIGE Vice-Director Dr. Keiko Ikeda, Hiroshima University Professor Dr. Hajime Nishitani, and Purdue University (Indiana, USA) Professor Dr. Kris Acheson-Clair, introduced the BEVI (Beliefs, Events, and Values Inventory) to university instructors and administrators from across Japan while exploring the details of data analysis.
Actual test results of the BEVI conducted at sample Japanese and U.S. universities were introduced, and participants were provided with the opportunity to take the BEVI for themselves.

*BEVI (Beliefs, Events, and Values Inventory) is an objective measurement and evaluation method for global competency, studying abroad and learning outcomes. This test is widely adopted by higher education institutions (Assessing Education Abroad Outcomes: a Review of the BEVI, IDI, and GPI / BEVI: www.thebevi.com). BEVI-j was developed and introduced to Japan by Dr. Hajime Nishitani (Hiroshima University).
