IIGE Keiko Ikeda and Mariya Byvakina visited UKM and Taylor's University

On December 12th, IIGE vice-director Ikeda Keiko and program coordinator Mariya Byvakina visited the Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia (UKM), sparking discussions on blended mobility and innovative education. In a meeting with Dr. Abdul Latiff Ahmad, Deputy Director of the International Relations Centre, they discussed the upcoming KU-UKM Coil Plus student exchange program scheduled for February 2024. In addition, in preparation for the Kansai University students' visit to UKM, the KU representatives also met with the Principal of Ibu Zain Residential College Dr. Nur Shakila Mazalan, and received a warm welcome and a small guided tour around the College's facilities. This visit not only strengthens the partnership between the two institutions but also signifies a promising stride towards fostering innovative educational practices for the benefit of students at both Kansai University and University Kebangsaan Malaysia.

 

On the next day, December 13th, Ikeda Keiko and Mariya Byvakina visited Taylor's University to discuss the upcoming Faculty Development Program (FDP) planned for February 2024. The FD program will bring together faculty members from ASEAN countries for a week of intensive workshops aimed at enhancing professional development further aiding the internationalization efforts of the participating institutions.
