KUGF Three Universities Collaborative Learning Presentations

Nine students participating in the KUGF (Kansai University Global Frontier) Taiwan program gave their final project presentations in English to an audience of their peers, professors, and IIGE staff members via COIL on Thursday, August 29th.

The three groups of students compared various aspects of business culture in Taiwan and Japan and proposed solutions from both social and economic standpoints for the unique challenges faced by the industries which were the subject of their case studies (Convenience Store Culture, Hotels and Tourism, and Department Stores).

The program, "Three Universities Collaborative Learning" was a twelve-day intensive program held in Kaohsiung, Taiwan from August 19th - 30th, in which students from Japan (Kansai University), Thailand (Panyapiwat Institute of Management), and Taiwan (Cheng Shiu University) took part in a comparative culture study using English as the medium of instruction. The students engaged in language learning, took part in collaborative field work on location to gather data for their final presentations, and cultural excursions.
