SIIEJ 2023 “Rebuilding the Professional Network of International Education”

The SIIEJ 2023 (Summer Institute on International Education, Japan) “Rebuilding the Professional Network of International Education'' will be held at Tohoku University on July 20-21, 2023.

Outline

The field of international education is facing a wide range of challenges that professionals need to address. These challenges include international student mobility, international experiential learning, the internationalization of campuses and curricula, and international co-learning. The COVID-19 pandemic has significantly impacted international educational exchange, leading to the need for more innovative and creative programs. Collaborative Online International Learning (COIL), virtual exchange, and other forms of ICT-based educational exchange are becoming increasingly popular.

Since 2018, SIIEJ has been organizing a platform for professional training, research presentations, and the exchange of ideas among administrators, faculty members, and researchers involved in promoting internationalization in universities. This year’s theme will be "Rebuilding the Network of International Education Professionals''.
