Fifteen Kansai University students took part in the Online Global Mindset Program, a short-term, intensive program facilitated 100% online in collaboration with our COIL partner, Michigan State University. The program, specially designed to foster global awareness and cultural competence through English conversation, guest presentations and MSU English Language Center coursework, aimed to provide KU students with further opportunity for international exchange.

 

In this program, KU students interacted with MSU students in weekly live English conversation hours, and took part in a series of lectures run by the the MSU English Language Center. The lectures focused on cross-cultural communication and current events, and all coursework was aimed toward helping students develop their oral communication skills in English. Students also attended presentations by a variety of guest speakers who introduced their experiences as Japanese professionals who have worked and/or studied in the U.S. The program concluded with student presentations.
