J-MCP 21st Century Skills program finished

The J-MCP 21st century skills Spring program came to an end this week. The program featured 10 interactive lectures on topics such as presentation skills, critical thinking and digital literacy, creativity and teamwork, intercultural communication, and career development  by instructors from different universities in Japan.

During the past 5 weeks the students worked together during their class times and outside of their assigned lecture times to prepare final presentation videos. Their final collaborative project for the course revolved around the theme, “What if….?”  Each collaborative group chose a “what if” question based on one or more of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals. All of the 21st-Century skills taught throughout the course (teamwork, creativity, critical thinking, presentation skills, and international mindset) gave the students the tools to tackle their assignments.

Some of this year's topics included “what if we could eradicate poverty?”, “what if we promote physical literacy?”, and “what if fast fashion was no longer trending?”
