Koki, who after spending his sophomore year in the USA studying English, participated in the COIL program in order to improve his English.

In taking a COIL class, his goal was to use his English skills toward something productive.

After graduating, Koki worked as an intern in the U.S. Consulate in Japan for 3 months.

Currently he is working toward his Master's degree in Freie Universität Berlin, John F. Kennedy Institute for North American Studies, in the Department of Political Science.
