Osaka Seminar: August 2nd Activities Report
On August 2nd, the Joint Honors Program students took part in various Japanese language and culture activities at Kogaku-kan, followed by the cruise preparatory session. In the morning class, the students learned time expressions.
Japanese Language Class
In the early afternoon, the students experienced origami and tanzaku making. They wrote their wishes on tanzaku (colourful strips of papers) and hung them on bamboo trees along with origami decorations they made.

In the cruise preparatory session, the students learned about a Japanese SDGs-bound entrepreneurship through a virtual meeting with Mr. Albert Okamura, the CEO of One Visa, Inc. where they learned about the amazing work being done to help foreign students and workers obtain the proper visas for Japan. Mr. Okamura shared his personal and inspiring story that led to the creation of his company, and answered questions from the enthusiastic students.
