Osaka Seminar: August 1st Activities Report

On Thursday, August 1st, the joint honors program students enjoyed a day-long excursion to Osaka city, taking in many local historical and cultural sites under the guidance of 15 local Josho Gakuen High School students (pictured below) with the Osaka Amazing Pass, sponsored by the Osaka Convention & Tourism Bureau

They took a river cruise, strolled through Namba, visited the Buddhist temple Shitennō-ji and Osaka Tenmangū Shinto shrine, stepped back in time with a walk through the Osaka Museum of Housing and Living and Kamigata Ukiyoe Museum, toured Osaka Castle, and Tsūtenkaku tower.

Students were encouraged to consider the role of Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) in their discovery of these charming local spots, as well as identify any potential issues, and share their multicultural insights toward change via SNS.
