On Monday, our Joint Honors Program students had a full day of activities, organized and sponsored by the Takatsuki International Association, starting with a hike through the beautiful Settsukyo park.
The purpose of the day's activities, was to learn more about what Takatsuki City has to offer and learn about the city's approach to SDGs through visiting various cultural spots and interacting with local people.
Following their hike, they students were treated to a traditional kaiseki lunch at Sansuikan hot springs, followed by a visit to Chorakuji, where they learned about juzu prayer beads and made their own accessories.

Project Manager Yasuyuki Mishima took the students on a tour, explaining how the local manufacturer is invested in renewable and responsible energy solutions to provide clean water through highly-efficient pump mechanisms.
