On Friday, November 27th Kansai University IIGE held the first webinar in its Fall 2020 online training series, "MOVING FORWARD: Shaping the New Reality of Online International Education." 

 

 

The webinar, titled "Changing international education with COVID-19," was moderated by

Prof. Keiko Ikeda (Kansai University), Vice Director of IIGE, and featured guest speaker Prof. Hiroshi Ota of Hitotsubashi University. In the webinar, Dr. Ota discussed a new approach to international education that goes beyond the emergency response to the coronavirus outbreak, which has largely put a halt to the international mobility of students and spurred the global attempt at enacting new measures and practices utilizing online tools around the world. The interactive nature of the webinar provided participants with the opportunity to discuss the future of international education.
