On August 31st, the participants in 2020 UMAP-COIL Joint Program had the 4th Lecture held on Zoom, where the studentss learned about "Business for SDGs".

The companies around the world have been gradually changing and started focusing on not only their own profits but the environmental problems in every aspect.
Jiun-Yan Wu, Specially Appointed Assistant Professor of Kansai University, addressed the importance of business acknowledging the issues of SDGs and introduced how they can face the issues by showing some examples of cases conducted by actual companies.

 

 

 

The participants also shared and discussed the practices that they had found through the pre-assignment in small groups.They will go through another assignment before the next lecture on culture and SDGs.
