In keeping with the recent announcement from APAIE to postpone the 2020 conference, and with the health and safety of all in mind, Kansai University IIGE and the COIL BEVI Project Steering Committee have cancelled the on-location workshops scheduled for March 26th and 27th in Vancouver, BC.  We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause and hope (as APAIE has indicated) that airlines and hotels will work with you to address these unforeseen circumstances that have affected us all.  

 

The good news is, and consistent with the spirit of our ongoing VE collaborations, we are pleased to offer the planned seminar in an online format befitting the work we do here at IIGE.  An updated schedule of our virtual sessions is outlined below as well as in a PDF format attached to this email.

 

Each session will include opportunities for the audience to input their questions through a Q&A dialog box for live or text answers.  In addition, optional facilitator-led online breakout group forums will follow these sessions to allow for further discussion and hands on participation. For those who will be joining the COIL BEVI Project Team (see http://www.kansai-u.ac.jp/Kokusai/IIGE/resources/BEVI-COIL.php for more information about this initiative, which will be described further during these sessions), the Steering Committee will be forwarding additional materials and information after the below seminar process, which follows upon related workshops in Tokyo, which were held in February of 2020.    

 

Consistent with virtual convening practices, and in light of recent events and long-term needs, we hope that you will be able to join us online for two days of interactive networking and discussion as we move forward. Detailed instructions on how to access each online session will be provided at the time of registration.
