Save the date! JIGE Kick-Off Symposium

Join us for an exciting symposium on Internationalization in Higher Education, COIL, and Blended Mobility to celebrate the start of the JIGE project!

The Japan Hub for Innovative Global Education (JIGE) is a groundbreaking global education initiative by three Japanese Universities (Kansai University, Tohoku University, and Chiba University) funded by Japan's Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology (MEXT) under the Inter-University Exchange Project. JIGE aims at revolutionizing higher education and workforce development through innovative virtual, blended mobility, and internship programs. It also aims to serve as a knowledge platform for innovative global education and blended mobility in Japan.

To launch this new project, we will host the JIGE Kick-Off Symposium to foster connections with diverse stakeholders and to lay the groundwork for our forthcoming projects. This forum will have an international presence, as we will be welcoming workshop facilitators from abroad and extending invitations to overseas partner universities. Featured speakers will include Stephanie Doscher (Florida International Uni.), Alfonso Díaz Segura (CEU Educational Group), Eva Haug (Amsterdam Uni. of Applied Sciences), Heather Ward (University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill), Veronica Onorevole (AAC&U), Darla K. Deardorff (AIEA), Keiko Ikeda (Kansai Uni.), Masahiro Inoue (Keio University), Ryosuke Ohniwa (University of Tsukuba & JV-Campus) and more!
