IIGE Vice-Director, Prof. Ikeda Presented at NAFSA 2021

On June 4, 2021, IIGE Vice-Director/Principal Project Manager, Professor Keiko Ikeda (Kansai University) presented at NAFSA 2021 Annual Conference & Expo. In the session titled "Higher Education Resiliency in Times of Crisis Through Virtual Exchange and Collaborative Online International Learning (COIL)", how virtual exchange and COIL have become vital means for continuing and even reinvigorating global learning and connections with the ongoing impact of COVID-19 was discussed. The project’s leaders and participating senior international officers, including Ms. Veronica Onorevole (American Council on Education),  Dr. WIng-kai To (Bridgewater State University), and Mr. John E. Fowler (Institutional Mentor For Virtual Exchange & COIL Initiatives) presented results from a bilateral U.S.-Japan effort to support 28 universities and colleges to create quality-assured, high-impact virtual exchange and COIL programs.
