Students participating in the Singapore Blended Mobility Program (SGBM) attended a lecture on consumer markets given by Professors Gary Loh and Clala Siow of Nanyang Polytechnic (NYP). The students learned the basics of consumer culture and market research. In the afternoon, Dr. Hikaru Ishido (Chiba University), a specialist in International Economics, gave a lecture on ASEAN, business, and markets. The “decision-making on whether or not to eat out” using a Yes/No chart was a good example for the BM students who are currently engaged in field research. For the students participating in the program, the day was a great opportunity to learn more about market dynamics and the impact of consumer behavior.
