Business Camp Feb. 2022 Day 2

The Feb. 2022 Business Camp program concluded its first series of lectures and workshops with the main lecturer Mr. Samuel Goodman (Ludus Labs).

The day began with a welcome session on Zoom in which students went over some of the points made in the previous day to make sure that everyone was on the same page before moving on to today's content. For the first lecture session, students moved over to the Virbela private room and were given a lecture on the overview of the predicament of current Japanese society, including "aging" as one of the most significant social issues we are facing in Japan.  In this program, students will be focusing on SDGs No. 3, "Good health and well-being", particularly on aging. In today's session, after given an overview of Japanese society, economy, and environment, students were sent to their discussion rooms where they talked about various topics in teams.

Today's discussion topics:
・How is aging discussed in your culture? As a problem or burden?
・Have you ever thought about being an entrepreneur? Why or why not? What do you want to do after university?
・Ho have you and your loved ones fared during COVID-19? What has changed?

After the 15-minute break, students came back to Zoom to work on Miro, another app they will be using for team workshop activities. Since most of the participants had never used the app before, they were given an activity to work on in the team as a practice before working on the main activity. In the workshop, students went into different breakout rooms and worked with in the team to come up with potential positive and negative effects aging could have on the society.

The students will reconvene for Day 3 of the program on Feb. 15.
