The Hawaii blended mobility program started
The Hawaii Blended Mobility Online Program has been successfully completed! On March 2nd, we concluded the third session of COIL collaboration, which was part of a blended mobility program involving the University of Hawaii (UH) at Manoa, UH Hilo, and Kapi'olani Community College
.
UH Hilo students and Kansai University students socialized on Zoom and learned from each other. Dr. Don Bysouth, JIGE Associate Professor, facilitated the conversations. He will also be taking Kansai University students to Honolulu and Hilo, starting on March 9th, 2024, marking the beginning of the second part of the blended mobility program, the study abroad component.
Having learned from the online component has enriched the students' interests, preparing them not as tourists but as learners of this special place in Hawaii. The program revolves around the central theme of sustainability, and participants are earning credits from it. At IIGE, with the JIGE initiative, we are excited to witness the growth and transformation of students through this experience. Stay tuned for more updates!
