KU-PIM COIL: ASEAN Studies Course

On October 28, Kansai University students enrolled in ASEAN Studies course welcomed a guest speaker and students from Panyapiwat Institute of Management (Thailand) . Ms. Kim Escobin Kiatiwongse introduced C.P. Group, which is one of the biggest cooperative in Thailand that operates across many industries, and her roll at the office of international relations at PIM. In the presentation, she also discussed businesses in her hometown in the Philippines showing some businesses that were able to survive and succeed during the pandemic. 
She presented two businesses that are doing successfully even amidst the COVID-19 crisis. A restaurant called "Hungry Nomad Kitchen" and a beauty brand, "gloss" were introduced and she discussed how these two businesses succeeded by understanding the people's culture, lifestyle and needs.
At the end of the session, students from both institutions were able to interact in breakout rooms and discuss their life with COVID and ask questions to each other.
