On May 21st, Kansai University students in the cross-cultural communication course attended an online gathering with their peers from Cardinal Herrera University (CEU), Spain, to present the results of their COIL projects. 

 

As the students at CEU were involved in a teacher training course, the collaborative tasks in this project required students to design activities that could be used to teach cross-cultural differences between Japan and Spain to students in elementary and secondary education in the two countries. Having collaborated both synchronously and asynchronously for five weeks, the mixed-nationality student groups came up with some fascinating ideas to be used in cross-cultural education and discussed different aspects of the tasks they had designed with their peers in this live session.
