Wallonie-Bruxelles International (WBI) とJASSO共同の奨学金の案内がありました。


Wallonie-Bruxelles International (WBI) は、ベルギーのフランス語圏5大学(下記リンク参照)のいずれかで1学年(2学期)の留学を希望する日本人学生を対象に、毎年奨学金を提供しています。

These scholarships are intended to students with a master’s degree and are willing to complete their education either with a secondary master or to achieve specialization in doctoral studies. The residence in Belgium should correspond to the academic year, i.e. starting in September and ending in July the following year. Japanese students graduating same year are allowed to apply as they will have their master’s degree in September.

The selection process is carried out by the WBI office and the Embassy of the Belgium in Japan. Call for application usually opens early January. The application form will be available from the embassy webpage when application will be open on the 9th of January 2024. The application form (see attached) is to be filled, completed with additional documents indicated therein and submitted to the embassy by the deadline, typically the end of February or the beginning of March. Most valuable applications are selected and selected students are invited at the embassy for both a written exam and an interview, prior to the final selection.


The scholarship includes:
    Monthly allowance of 1147.56 EUR;
    Monthly allowance for the accommodation of 400 EUR;
    Installation allowance of 123.95 EUR;
    Cost of excess luggage (paid only once) of 247.89 EUR;
    Travel costs of 250 EUR;
    Tuition fee to the university/institution of higher learning: 835 EUR;
    Costs in relation to the final paper will be reimbursed up to 185.92 EUR;
    Costs in relation to the thesis will be reimbursed up to 619.73 EUR;
    Health insurance (with the exception of dental care and chronic disease) and personal liability insurance (only valid within Belgium);
    Allowance for international ticket fees (economy class, roundtrip capital to capital):  up to 1800 EUR
