Kansai University will host “Belgian Day” at the Senriyama Campus to commemorate the 160th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Japan and Belgium and the 20th anniversary of the establishment of the Kansai University European Center at KU Leuven.

The event will feature a special seminar with the Ambassador of Belgium to Japan, a screening of a Belgian film, and a consultation booth for students interested in studying abroad. Participants can explore Belgian culture and society while learning about innovative initiatives in Europe.

The event is open to Kansai University students, faculty and staff, and members of the general public. No advance registration is required. We look forward to welcoming you!

Program
1. Seminar: “Discovering Europe”

Diversity and Equality: Europe’s Challenges — Gender Policies in Belgium
This seminar will introduce the EU’s gender equality policies and Belgium’s social and legal systems. Through a comparison with Japan, participants will consider how societies can promote diversity and inclusion.

2. Belgian Film Screening: L'Employée du mois (Employee of the Month)

3. Embassy of Belgium Consultation Booth
Held in conjunction with the “Kansai University Connecting with the World Fair”
The Embassy of Belgium in Japan will participate in the overseas university and study-abroad consultation fair. Visitors can learn more about studying in Belgium and ask questions directly about life and study opportunities in the country.
