The Soochow University (SCU) × Kansai University Japanese Language and Culture Study Program (JTCA) will be held in the summer of 2026 at Kansai University’s Senriyama Campus. The program is organized by Soochow University and co-hosted by Kansai University.
Designed for students across Asia, the program offers foundational Japanese language learning combined with an exploration of traditional Japanese culture.、Centered on the concept of
“Language Learning × Cultural Immersion,” the program provides participants with systematic training in Japanese language fundamentals while offering opportunities to experience the cultural heritage and urban life of
Osaka, Kyoto, and Nara.
The courses are delivered through
bilingual instruction in Chinese and Japanese, covering Japanese pronunciation, vocabulary, grammar, and practical conversational skills through situational dialogue and communication exercises.
In addition to classroom learning, participants will take part in a series of
cultural activities and city explorations, allowing them to deepen their understanding of Japanese society while enhancing their language proficiency and global perspective.
Upon successful completion of the program, participants will receive an
Official Certificate of Training issued by Kansai University, marking a rewarding academic and cultural study experience on campus.

· Bilingual Learning Environment
Courses are delivered in
Chinese and Japanese, with small-group teaching to encourage interaction. The program is suitable for
students with little or no prior Japanese language background as well as those interested in Japanese language and culture.
· Development of Comprehensive Skills
Participants will strengthen their
communication skills, cross-cultural competence, and independent problem-solving abilities through immersive learning experiences.
· Japanese Cultural Exploration
Students will engage in immersive cultural experiences, exploring both
traditional and modern aspects of Japanese culture, including historical heritage sites, urban landscapes, and artistic traditions, gaining deeper insight into Japanese society.
· Teaching Assistant (TA) Support
Each class will be supported by
Mandarin-speaking Teaching Assistants, who will assist with on-site student management, including hotel check-in coordination, course attendance tracking, student coordination, and activity management. The TA will also provide support for students’ academic learning and daily life, offering assistance throughout the program in Osaka.
