information2020/03/19 【Important】To all international students:

The widespread impact of coronavirus (COVID-19) around the world has had a profound impact on our daily and academic lives. This impact has been acutely felt in Japan, where a large number of individuals have been infected, leading to temporary school closures. In light of these events, Kansai University made the difficult decision to cancel both the undergraduate and graduate commencement ceremonies as well as the entrance ceremony.

We understand that you (and new students in particular) may have concerns about the impact of the coronavirus (COVID-19) not only on your studies, but your student lives beginning in April as well. In order to assuage any concerns you may have, Kansai University’s Division of International Affairs will devote the utmost effort to assisting you in any and all matters pertaining to the dissemination of information and response to the virus in terms of language, culture, and customs.

It has never been more important for us to come together as a global society to exercise our collective knowledge and conquer the threat of coronavirus (COVID-19) through mutual cooperation extending beyond national, regional, and cultural boundaries. In order to stem the further spread of infection, it is imperative that we each take responsibility for staying up to date on accurate information and taking appropriate actions. Therefore, we would like to ask that you consider this as a challenge we are all facing together, and to cooperate and take thoughtful action.

Kansai University is making every effort to safeguard your health and activities. For further information on the upcoming schedule of classes and events, please check the website and personal messages via the university Information System. If you encounter any difficulties in your daily life due to the virus, please do not hesitate to contact the Division of International Affairs.
