To deeply study what I want to study during my 4-years student life

Before, I was not interested in disasters, so I was worried whether I could understand the contents of the course. However, lectures are related not only to disasters, but to a wider range than I expected.
Since societal safety science is related to many different fields such as psychology, economics, and management, it was good that I could select a seminar from wider range of options.
Also, the Muse Campus only has our faculty, so it is easy to connect with other research groups, and you can meet friends frequently on campus. I have been enjoying campus life because I have made many good friends over the last 4 years.
Study to realize societal safety concerns What I remember most is the lecture on safety education. Under the theme of riding a bicycle correctly, I made a video for children, playing the role of a character familiar to children. It was a lot of fun to talk with everyone in the group about how to ride a bicycle in a way that’s easy to understand. The lecture gave me an opportunity to realize that I could contribute to the safety and security of society.
I like to study and my supervisor observed that I worked diligently in research, so I was recommended to go to graduate school. I accepted my supervisor’s advice. A door to graduate school opened, so I decided to study deeper under Prof. Tsuchida who teaches social psychology, which I am interested in.
Also, rather than starting a job directly after graduating from university, I want to experience what other people cannot, and I did not want to have any regrets after getting a job.
Interdisciplinary research at the graduate school
At graduate school, students cooperate with other students to solve problems. I would like to research in combination with other academic fields such as information technology and medicine because I want to acquire knowledge from different fields in addition to social psychology, which is my research field.
For the Bachelor thesis, I studied the integrated threat theory in social psychology, but at graduate school, I would like to study deeper what I couldn’t solve at university. Also, unlike previous studies using the results of questionnaires, I would like to try psychological experiments to study actual behavior at graduate school.
After completion of graduate school, working for a general company is one of my plans. I would like to find a job related to societal safety and security which I study for two years.
One of the attractions of the Faculty of Societal Safety Sciences is being able to explore fields of interest even after entering university. Until I entered, I did not know what I wanted to study, but by studying in various academic fields, I was able to find a specific field I wanted to study.
Also, as the research groups consist of a small number of people, students can receive good care and kind instruction. It is a very good faculty for those who really want to study. Please find your field of study by working hard together with other students.
About the entrance exams
I entered the university via the late schedule of the general entrance exam. Originally, I wanted to study in national or public university. For the entrance exams, I reviewed science and mathematics, which I am not good at, starting with the basics at the junior high school level, and worked hard to build a foundation.
I chose this faculty because I can learn about my interest, psychology.
