Intensive Japanese Language and Culture Course (IJLC) Winter1 was completed

2021/02/18

Intensive Japanese Language and Culture Course (IJLC) Winter1 was held over a dozen days from January 25th to February 5th, 2021. This was the first time we offered classes online. We welcomed 33 students from Korean and Chinese universities.

Especially, students of Kansai University who supported participants as "Conversational Partners" in classes were received well. They were given a lecture by the chief priest of Ditoku-ji Temple in Kyoto and tried Zazen, sitting meditation, in their virtual field work. Also, the traditional craftsman taught them both the history and the way of making braided cords, then they actually made one.

The dozen days flew past and they completed the course successfully. They were reluctant to leave, saying that they wanted to talk with other students more or wanted to study in Japan.
