Japan Pre-Entry Tuberculosis Screening(JPETS) for Long-Term Residents from Screening Target Countries (Philippines and Nepal as of the end of March 2025)
This system requires long-term residents who intend to stay in Japan for more than 3 months, coming from the screening target countries, to undergo a chest X-ray and other tests at a designated medical institution before entering Japan, and submit documentation proving they do not have active tuberculosis.

1. Applicants will undergo a medical examination and chest X-ray at a Panel Clinic in the target countries.
2. TB Clearance Certificate will be issued by the Panel Clinic when the applicant does not have active tuberculosis.
3. Applicants will be required to submit the TB Clearance Certificate when applying for a Certificate of Eligibility.
Since the application for the Certificate of Eligibility is handled collectively by Kansai University, students will also need to submit the TB Clearance Certificate to Kansai University.Therefore, please submit your documents using the method outlined below.

*The certificate must be issued by a medical institution located in the target country that is designated by the Japanese government (hereinafter referred to as the "designated medical institution").

Submission method
Upload the TB Clearance Certificate onto the web application system at the time of application for the exchange program.
*You are also required to submit Kansai University Certificate of Health along with the TB Clearance Certificate.
