Unlike units separated by gender, this is a space for students of any gender to enter within the dormitory. All rooms are private (with toilet and shower), so students will not share bedrooms, toilets, or showers with other dorm residents. Dorm residents in each unit will share the hallways, lounge, laundry room, etc. within the units. Click here for frequently asked questions about all-gender units.
Dorm life is incredibly comfortable, and there’s a free direct bus to the Senriyama campus, making commuting very convenient. Each dorm room is a single with its own bathroom, so you have your private space, but there are also multiple common areas on each floor, providing plenty of opportunities to connect with others. This balance between privacy and interaction with other residents is one of the great features of Global House.
I was part of an all-gender unit, so I made many friends regardless of gender. Meeting both international students from all over the world and domestic students with diverse perspectives has really helped me grow and start thinking more globally. I feel like I’ve grown a lot as a person.
