Outline of the Symposiums Concerning the Great East Japan Earthquake
Following the Great East Japan Great Earthquake that occurred on March 11, 2011, an emergency symposium sponsored by the Faculty of Societal Safety Sciences was held in the Takatsuki Muse Campus on the 30th of the same month.
In this symposium, field survey reports by the faculty members who specialize in various fields such as earthquakes, tsunamis, nuclear accidents, volunteering, etc., and a local report by the Takatsuki municipal fire department headquarters staff who participated in the search activities of missing persons were conducted.
Afterwards, a panel discussion to discuss future safety measures was conducted. We will introduce here the content of the lectures at this symposium by the speakers.
