To assist in reaching the aim of promoting theoretical and policy research, the Research Center for Societal Safety Sciences was founded on August 1, 2012. Since its establishment, the Research Center for Societal Safety Science has engaged in a wide range of operations, ranging from the facilitation of joint researches and collaboration with external research institutes, to the planning and organizing of national and international symposiums and seminars, bulletin productions, and the publication of its research findings to the world. Today, the center seeks to establish firmly the discipline of “societal safety science” throughout the world and promote policy planning that will protect people at all levels of society.
