IJLC Summer 2, which started on July 2, 2024, successfully completed its 25-day curriculum on July 26, 2024. We welcomed a total of 47 participants from the USA, Australia, Canada, Korea, Taiwan, China and Brazil. The course was very lively.

Once again, KU students participated as "Conversational Partners" in the Japanese language classes to support the international students.

Thanks to their support, all 47 participants were able to give a final presentation summarizing their results in Japanese on the last day of the program.

In addition to the Japanese language classes, they went on field trips to Nara and Kyoto, where they experienced sushi-making and painting on Kyo-Sensu (traditional Japanese folding fans). They also tried their hand at the Japanese art of flower arrangement known as ikebana, or the art of Japanese halberd called naginata in a Japanese cultural experience and spent plenty of quality time.

During the course, the hot days continued, and they were a bit confused by the unfamiliar environment, but the three weeks flew by.
