Field trip to Kyoto

2018/12/17

At Kansai University Japanese Language and Culture Program Preparatory Course (Bekka), we offer field trips for students to learn about Japan and its culture three times a year.

On December 15, about 130 Bekka students went on a field trip to Kyoto led by teachers and staff members.

They experienced the "Zazen "(Zen meditation) at Koun-ji temple. They tried Zazen nervously, and learned the mean of it through their experience. Then they visited the factory of Asahi newspaper in Kyoto, observed the machine printing newspaper, and learned their efforts of environmental preservation.

Bekka students had a great day learning about Japanese culture and state of the art technologies.
